Description
With over half a million cars sold in its first year, the 1965 Mustang created the “pony car craze.” Of those, less than 1% were produced with “K” Code engines and a small fraction of those were convertibles. The high-winding 289 “K” Code V8 engine with 271 HP and Toploader 4-speed manual transmission would form the basis for Carroll Shelby’s all-conquering GT350 Mustang. In 1965, only 181 "K" Code Mustang convertibles were produced.
