How it works?

1

A collector has acquired nearly one hundred cars over the past twenty years, and he stores them all in a secure climate controlled garage.

He enjoys showing his collection to family and friends and occasionally trailering cars to shows, but he is worried about what will happen to his collection when he can no longer maintain it.

A curator oversees a museum of historic airplanes that is open to the public.

He is glad to provide enjoyment to the museum patrons, but he would like to have additional capital to add to the collection.

The family of a motorcycle collector has inherited his collection, but the members of the estate are divided on what to do with so many collector bikes.

Half of the estate wants to sell them, and the other half wants their relative’s precious collection to remain intact

Fraction motors

is the solution sought after

by these custodians

Divide the value of vehicles into digital shares.

By dividing the value of these vehicles up into digital shares, we allow custodians to sell up to 80% of their collectibles’ value while retaining physical possession of the items they love.

This process begins when the custodian gets a vehicle evaluated by one of Fraction Motors’ approved appraisers. The custodian submits the appraisal, insurance documentation, and professional photographs. Upon approval, Fraction Motors and the custodian execute a sales contract and 100,000 shares are minted on the blockchain. The custodian then determines how many shares they want to initially offer through the website to the public.

How it works for share holders?

Many people around the world who love collectible cars, trucks, motorcycles, and airplanes do not have the means to own them. Perhaps the value of these vehicles has increased to such a degree that the capital requirement is now too high.

Additionally, they may not have the expertise to know the collectibility or authenticity of specific vehicle makes, models, and conditions.

For example, the value of a concourse restored 1970 Chevrolet Camaro SS is impacted by factors such as engine, transmission, matching chassis/drivetrain numbers, original color, body type, documentation, mileage, vehicle history, and options.

Fraction Motors makes the dream of collecting vehicles a reality with our patent-pending fractional share holder system. The shares created by the vehicles’ owners populate a marketplace where interested parties can own shares of their dream machine.

The prospective buyer sees the vehicle on Fraction Motors’ website and decides to purchase a number of shares. The buyer connects his digital wallet to the website and determines if he has enough USDC (a US dollar stable coin) to purchase the shares. If the buyer needs USDC, it can be acquired from a third-party crypto exchange like coinbase.com.

The buyer can then purchase the shares at the best offer price or make an offer to purchase below the current sale price.

The purchase or offer to purchase is recorded on the blockchain. When a sale is completed, the buyer can see the vehicles they own in their wallet. At any time, the owner can sell his shares for the current offer price or make an offer to sell higher. The new owner can collect other shares/tokens to create their own “garage” of vehicles (i.e. in their digital wallet).
